The carrier of Molag Bal's accursed mace, Reistr had been brought to the Volkihar clan after having his connections with Molag Bal found out. He had the opportunity to join the clan after listening to Lord Harkon's offer of power and accepted it. Though since it was the day before the 20th of the Evening Star- Molag Bal’s summoning day- he agreed to participate in the ritual which would turn him into a vampire. Unfortunately the ritual was degrading and resulted in him losing part of his soul and dying of his wounds, only to emerge as a pure-blooded vampire. He’s still a fledgling in Harkon's eyes, but at least he has the ability to change from his human appearance to his Vampire Lord form freely whenever he wants.
